It use to be that dining in Vegas was choosing between a steakhouse and an all you can eat buffet. While most of those places are long gone, Vegas has become one of the finest dining cities in North America. Many celebrity chefs call Vegas home, and there are still a handful of cheap eats that are available to you, too. Of course, if you are here to gamble, you might get several comps which makes eating absolutely free!

Aureole is, as many fancy restaurants in Las Vegas, located inside one of the many casinos on the Vegas Strip. In this case, Aureole is worth a visit just to sample some of celebrity chef Charlie Palmer’s finest works. It’s pricy, but more than worth it.

No trip to Las Vegas is complete without checking out Wolfgang Puck’s signature restaurant located inside the Venetian. His body of work speaks for itself, but there is nothing quite like sitting down to a four star meal in a four star hotel. Enjoy!

Not to be outdone, inside the Bellagio is one of the most fashionable and delicious places to eat in the whole city. The décor is Costa Rican in design and the food is American, but made with a flare you won’t find anywhere else. Steak, chicken and other traditional menu items are given new life here.

Who says it all has to be fancy in Las Vegas? The Studio Grill inside the ESPN Zone at New York New York is the best place in the city to catch that big game, and get an amazing meal at the same time. From pub food to fine food, they do it all at the Studio Grill.

Housed inside the MGM Grand, NobHill takes a fresh approach to dining in Las Vegas. With ingredients flown in daily fresh from San Francisco, you might think you’ve escaped to The City by the Bay, but you’re just tasting one of the best kept secrets in the city. Try the Lobster pot pie!

6. JJ's Boulangerie - 3655 S Las Vegas Blvd Las Vegas - website

What would Paris be without an authentic French bakery? Dine on the freshest baked goods available in the state. The menu is so good here that most other hotels order their bakery items from here and sell them as if they were their own creations. Don’t be fooled!

7. Carnival World Buffet - 3700 W. Flamingo Las Vegas - website

It simply wouldn’t be Las Vegas without a trip to a signature buffet, and none of them come any larger than the Carnival World Buffet located just off the strip at the Rio. With over 300 items daily, you can’t go wrong here, but remember to bring your appetite!

Perhaps no celebrity chef resonates with more people than Emeril, and now you can taste his personal creations at the MGM Grand. Many items here are spicy and contain seafood, so make sure that’s to your liking before you sit down.

Sometimes, you just need a sandwich to tide you over, and the Luxor has one of the best delis in Vegas. Try the towering kosher sandwiches and soups, but make sure you’re hungry, these sandwiches are huge!

An authentic Irish pub in the middle of Las Vegas? It’s more likely than you think! At New York, New York, Nine Fine Irishmen pays tribute to the large Irish-Catholic population that helped make NYC the city it is today. Excellent pub food and a good selection of beers are easy to find here.
